The French Kissers

Last night I went to see a screening of The French Kissers (Les Beaux gosses) courtesy of Four Thousand and I decided to pull my forced grin out for you all to enjoy! The film is hilarious, I highly recommend that you catch it – I’m still thinking about it and the cheesy electro soundtrack!

Top: Sara
Skirt: Yours Clothing
Shoes: Spendless
Bag: Satchi (Myer)
Snail Brooch: Gift
Hair scarf: Gift

I went to the doctor, and the doctor said...

Allow me to take a moment to whinge about the weather. Oh. My. GOD. Today was horrid, though so many people didn’t seem to be bothered by it. I don’t know if they’ve botoxed their sweat glands or if I’m just a delicate little (perspiring) thing. Brisbane in summer: don’t do it.

Dress: Torrid
Shoes: Spendless (seriously, I love them)
Necklace: Tree of Life

And. AND. The most exciting thing.
My first give-away ever: a $50 Ezibuy voucher to give to a lovely reader!

Here’s how to enter:

  • To be in the draw I want you to style the most fancy New Year’s Eve outfit ever, choosing at least one garment from Ezibuy to complete your outfit.
  • Size, weather and money are no object – I want you to create your fanciest self!
  • You don’t need to create an image like I’ve done above (you can if you want, they’re fun!) but I do need you to leave a comment and list and link to the garments in your NYE outfit.
  • Ezibuy ship to Australia only, I’m sorry international readers :(
  • I will choose the fanciest outfit on Monday December 14th at 5pm – you have all weekend to plot your outfit and leave a comment!
  • Be sure to put your email address in the Disqus form when commenting so I have a way to contact you – it’s not visible to the public, and I won’t do anything nasty with it. I promise.

If you’re interested in any of the items above, here’s what I used:
Top: Sara
Skirt: Evans
Fascinator: Mod Cloth
Bangle: Ezibuy
Shoes: Evans

Go be fancy, and don’t forget to enter the give-away by Monday 5pm! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Oh, this is fun! I love making up dream outfits!
Righto, well, firstly I would start with this funky-ass one-shoulder dress http://www.ezibuy.com.au//Womens/Emerge/Dresses..., which totes reminds me of mid 80's Christmas cards. You know, the ones with close-up photos of baubles on a tree?
I would add these t-bar shoes http://www.ezibuy.com.au/Womens/Shoes/T_Bar_Hee... in nude. Love that sturdy heel for dancing the night away!
I'd pin my hair in a low sexy loose bun, with a few of these pins from Diva http://www.diva.net.au/#/product/839 in purple and red-orange at the base.
And I would carry my important things in this clutch http://www.mimco.com.au/Product/Bags_15/Evening... (which I actually own – woooo!)
So, now you know what I want to wear on NYE, I just need to work out where to go for it!

I'm not skillful enough to make a pretty picture like yours, but I'll make an otufit anyway!

I'm not a huge 'go-out-and-drink' NYE person, I tend to go to house parties, so I want something comfortable but snazzy. :D

I'm loving jumpsuits at the moment, so I'd base my outfit around this jumpsuit: http://www.ezibuy.com.au/Jumpsuits/Emerge_All-I... Love that stone colour, though I'd probably have to hem it.

I dig wearings browns and other naturals at the moment, so this long charm necklace from etsy would be perfect: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id...

I think a pair of low-heeled flats would look perfect, so I've picked these (on sale! WANT) green sandals from Nine West http://www.ninewest.com.au/www/166/1245879/disp...

This makes me want to go shopping! :D

    http://chineseladybird.blogspot.com/2009/12/per...
(and although it will probably be a scorching summer here on NYE, i made it into a slightly colder weather outfit) but still! fun time, fun times!
Here is a little list of what i have chosen:
    these shoes: http://www.heels.com/womens-shoes/ginger-pump-b... pants: http://www.ezibuy.com.au/Womens/Sara_%28Plus_Si...
this jacket (though i dont know where to buy it as the stockist listed is out, but scroll down the page to see it ;) http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/shop?query=mcqueen+...

All would make up something beautiful i think.
please have a look at the montage of NYE ultimate outfit awesomeness on my blog if you like :)

I read your blurb on your twitter page and I dig being big too! I like your flair. I make to order from my market stall and I really enjoy it when other girls my sort of size get excited because they can wear something unique and are a part of it's creation and not limited to choosing from a big section!!

  11. definatalie on 15 December, 2009 at 12:22 pm

I can't get to the first and third links, argh! I found the shrug on Yours but it looks like the skinny jeans aren't on Torrid's site anymore, so I found another pair and got the general vibe :P

    Thanks for entering!
