Secret Anatomy of a Young Girl by Elsa Mora

Elsa Mora's work just continues to astound me. She is an artist whose work I can fall into for days, and I would never come out except for coffee and biscuits (Scotch Finger, yum). She has just issued a new series of prints based on her delicious paper cuts in her etsy store.

Further to her awesome talent - she just seems like such a beautiful person just going on what I've gathered from reading her blog! You should add her if you like beautiful paper crafts - she doesn't just create amazing cuts, some of her work is incredibly sculptural too. You just want to touch it. And maybe play with it a little.

I'm seriously toying with the idea of pulling out the credit card... I wonder what Nick would say (eep!)

I found this talented jewellery designer on craftster.org and followed her to her Etsy store where I found some amazing pieces. I love seeing jewellery that is a little bit different, but in most cases the end product is something I would never usually wear. The pieces of jewellery designed and created by Nikki of FloraGeorge are infinitely wearable, personal and... eco friendly! She uses reclaimed silver and gold, as well as vintage remnants from her grandmother's knicker factory!

My favourite is the Lace Print Ring (bottom left), but don't tell anyone because I want to buy it for myself once the wedding is out of the way!! AND, did you see the Brownie badge ring? OMG flashbacks!

I've been pretty busy lately, however this week I actually resigned from my job to focus on arting and crafting for a little while! I've got lots of ideas and pretty soon you'll be able to purchase some of their tangible forms :D

At any rate, it's that horrible time of year again... it's almost my birthday! I was born on December 20, and hardly anyone gives a rats about me on my birthday because they are too busy with Christmas. Poo on that I say. I present to you a list of things I desire.

Often I go scouting for pretty things on etsy.com that I can't afford, but today I came across madeit.com.au, an Australian website supporting Australian independent craftsters. I think this is brilliant, because shipping from overseas on etsy (or any other site for that matter) often makes cheap and chic objects of desire cost prohibitive. Big props go to madeit.com.au and the team behind it, as well as all the sellers who've opened up their online shops with the site.
