I am just about to commence a huge office do-over because I have wayyy too many arts and crafts supplies and wayyyy not enough storage. Currently I have scraps of paper floating around the room, pencils stuck in magazines, gocco prints in the filing cabinet and drawing paper sitting on my sewing machine…. and it’s driving me NUTS! The other day I cracked it and sat down and drew up a plan of what I’d like to solve the mayhem in my workspace.

Because I am one of those starving artist type people, I don’t have a couple of hundred dollars to drop on a lovely visit to Ikea to fill my lovely life with lovely Scandinavian things. I put out a twitter BOLO for a bookcase, sent my husband scrambling over ebay for local bargains and whinged to my mother about the whole kerfuffle. Nothing solves problems like whinging to your mother… she had a white Ikea Billy bookcase in the garage going unloved! So tonight we get to find out if it will fit in my little Hyundai, and I start my next search – for little boxey type things to organise everything on the shelves.
