The Ezibuy Wardrobe Challenge

A few weeks ago I was asked to take part in the Ezibuy Wardrobe Challenge, and was totally honoured to be thought of for the experience! Essentially, the challenge is this: 10 key pieces means you can create 21 different looks to take you from casual to dressy. I selected seven items from the Sara Ezibuy brand (many items were sold out, crazy!) so while I can’t do the proper challenge – I can show you how I would integrate these pieces into my wardrobe and sense of style.

Today I went over to my friend’s place for a pool party, and as she lives right on the Brisbane River I thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to take photos. However Brisbane decided to put a stop to all my plans of pretending I was Crystal Renn, and put on a show of oppressively hot and sunny weather – making for rough modelling. I have a new respect for those in the trade now. I decided to call it off a few outfits in due to being bloody hot! What a diva. (To be fair: there was no way in hell anyone would put a winter jacket on today – a cardigan was bad enough!)

Ezibuy Challenge - outfit 1
Tank – Sara
Pants – Sara
Cardigan – Urbane (Myer)
Belt – Yours Clothing
Thongs – no idea
Sunglasses – Valley Markets vendor

Ezibuy Challenge - outfit 2
Blouse – Target
Jeans – Sara
Cardigan – Sara
Thongs – no idea, forgot to change shoes for this shot!
Belt – Yours Clothing
Magical disappearing necklace – Lola & Bailey

That’s not my scooter by the way! It was already sitting down in the shadiest part of the back yard, and the river’s behind the fence! The sunshine was so strong it was totally blowing out the lighting on my camera.

Over the next few weeks I’ll create more outfits with the seven garments from Ezibuy. I’ve never bought anything from Sara before, because I never thought I could incorporate it into what I regularly wear but I have quite a few ideas now after trying everything on at least once. I’m also going to work on increasing my repertoire of poses and minimise my “I’m a little tea-cup” imitation – anticipate Crystal Renn-like stances!

I was also offered a $50 Ezibuy giftcard to give away to my readers! Horah! Though I’ll have to check up on it as it didn’t come in the box the other day; I have one more t-shirt being delivered so it may come with that. And then it’s give-away time!

  1. I love your hair!!
Digging on the first outfit especially. Are those harem pants that you've miraculously made stylish by hiking them up to your boobs? Amaze.

  2. Yes! They won't sit happily on my waist or hips so I took my cue from styling done in various runway shows where they've had high-waisted drop-seat pants.

  3. I've always been a fan of plus-size models! There's a great site with many images of Crystal and other plus-size models here:

    They're all gorgeous.

The site's forum also has thought-provoking discussions about body image and the media.
